Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance: Beyond the Basics

Presenting fundamental concepts of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) according to ASME Y14.5-2018 Standard, this “hands-on” training course teaches students how to properly apply the principles of GD&T to manufacturing and inspection processes. Students will inspect various parts in the book through suggested quality control methods.

By the end of this GD&T training course, you should be able to:
  • Apply the principles of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to manufacturing and inspection processes
  • Understand and explain the advantages and complexity of GD&T
  • Apply appropriate tolerances to specified objects
  • Properly inspect parts using standard inspection equipment and applying proper quality control methods
The Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance Beyond the Basics course is Part 2 of the Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance: Fundamentals course.

Prerequisites for this geometric dimensioning & tolerance training course:
Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is not CAD program specific but is a Drawing centric language/Annotational Technique. A good knowledge of engineering drawing/blueprints is necessary.
